Dr Lauren Heathcote (@LCHeathcote), Associate Professor at King’s College, London, visited PheW at the University of Lincoln and presented on the cutting edge in theory and practice in the psychology of cancer and pain. The talk covered topics such as scanxiety, body checking, and shifting mindsets. The presentation was attended remotely by the Clinical Psychology team for people with cancer at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust, bringing together clinicians and researchers of psycho-oncology sharing an agenda from different parts of the UK. What an excellent day it was for a photo-op in front of the Cathedral!
