Biography

I started my first career as an electronics engineer in the mid 1970s. Then decided to completely change tack in the early 1980s and become a documentary photographer. I studied under David Hurn at Newport School of Art as a mature student. After this, I worked as a freelance for 15 years, shooting features for most of the national newspapers and magazines. I fell into web design accidentally in the early 1990s. After creating a portfolio site for myself, people started to ask me to build sites for them. Eventually, it took over. I produced a few websites for the Apple Design Agency and various arts organisations, before taking a job as Website Manager at Wakefield College in 1999. I have been at the University as Website Manager since 2000.
